At BluePrint Nursing, we’re proud to support extraordinary nurses who go above and beyond. This week, we’re shining a light on Jess, one of our travel nurses who’s been working closely with recruitment consultant Ali Jones.
What has your experience been like working with BluePrint Nursing?
I have loved working with Ali. From the very first call, it’s been like chatting to a friend. I had a very specific timeframe where I was available to go on contract. She was prompt in scouting out my options and quickly secured me a contract.
She was very careful to follow up and make sure everything was perfect for me, and when she wasn’t available made sure a colleague was able to assist. She has a very fun, friendly, honest and warm communication style which makes you feel like you genuinely matter.
What would you say to someone considering agency nursing?
If you are going to take the leap into travel nursing, don’t think twice. It’s such a fun, flexible lifestyle. You meet some lifelong friends along the way and see some amazing places, all while getting paid. You just have to remember you’re going into a facility to help out, not change it. And sometimes, with meeting the most amazing people and making the best memories, it can get hard constantly changing and moving to the next place.
What have you loved most about your contracts?
The people who I have met and the memories I have created. The workplace isn’t always the easiest, but it’s the people and the memories that make it. It’s utilising the time outside of work that makes for an unforgettable time.
How have you found the accommodation?
The accommodation is always at baseline, clean and with everything you need. Sometimes you share and sometimes you have a place to yourself. I like to take my own bedding for a little bit of extra comfort.
